Nicole has been the site director of the South Windsor LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program since its inception in 2003. The program was formed specifically to create a network for girls to learn to play golf, build friendships and sample competition in a non-threatening environment. Its mission is to attract as many girls into the game of golf as possible and in doing so, hope that participants will develop a long-term interest in the game of golf. The LPGA-USGA Girls Golf is open to all girls ages 7-17.
To join LPGA-USGA Girls Golf, girls must first register at www.GirlsGolf.org. Registration is FREE! Each girl will receive an official Girls Golf membership kit filled with fun golf merchandise and accessories.

Instruction includes full swing with video analysis, putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, golf rules, etiquette, and on-course play. Academies fill up fast, so register early.

Check out some of the fun we have during our Junior Golf Academies in the slide show below. Each morning, we spend half of our time on the driving range and half on the golf course. We relate many different sports children are already familiar with to the golf swing to help make learning easier. We use hockey to learn the proper chipping motion as well as to develop a greater awareness of the "club face" and how it relates to the direction the ball travels. We use footballs to teach proper weight shift for power. We use paddle ball to develop a target focus. We will be integrating some of the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) equipment to make learning more fun for our youngest golfers. Nicole's goal is for all children to "graduate" with a lasting interest and curiosity for the game of golf.

Pee Wee Pros
Pee Wee Pro's is an instructional program designed to introduce golf to young children 3-6 years of age. The primary objective is to instill a message that golf is fun and share with parents and care-givers how they can best support this objective. No golf equipment is necessary...we provide all children with SNAG golf equipment to use during the clinics. SNAG (Start New At Golf) equipment is designed to make learning golf easy. The clubs and balls are oversized and brightly colored to increase the likelihood that our Pee Wee Pro's will meet with success. The only thing we ask is that each child be accompanied by an adult to share in the fun and help with safety.
All clinics are held on Saturday afternoons from 3:00-3:45 and 4:15-5:00. Cost: $20/clinic.
Once you have completed your registration, you are eligible to enroll in the various activities planned at Willow Brook Golf Course, home of the Girls Golf of South Windsor. We have something fun planned for almost every Saturday this summer! The cost for each clinic is only $15.
Interspersed throughout the season are two Adult-Child Tournaments for parents or any special adult to join in the fun (July 15 and August 12). The format for each tournament is alternate shot. This allows even our newest of golfers to enjoy the day. Following play, we continue the fun with food and prizes. Please see the golf shop for Adult-Child Tournament Applications.
For the experienced junior golfer, there is also an opportunity to play weekly on Wednesday afternoons starting at 1:00. The junior golf league runs during the weeks of summer vacation and the golf shop kindly asks that you call a week in advance to register for play on any given week.
